Islamabad: Mango export from Pakistan to Japan has started this season. Last year, these exported Pakistani mangoes reached a record high of 120 tons and were favorably received in the Japanese market.

Normally, mango exports to Japan require pre-clearance by Japanese inspectors who are dispatched to Pakistan and other countries following to quarantine regulations. However, the Government of Japan could not dispatch these Japanese inspectors due to the COVID-19 pandemic this year.

In light of this situation, the Government of Japan introduced a temporary measure, which allows mango exports by taking measurements and sending necessary data and documents to Japan for quarantine.

Japan will continue to support Pakistan in the agricultural field such as taking measures against locust control, expanding export of agricultural products, and investment in the food processing sector.

Ali Asghar Shahid said that thousands of people were jailed, hundreds murdered and democracy harmed during the Zia regime.

“The dictator made a frightening history and even today, people are facing repercussions which consisted of terrorism, extremism, making fun of parliament, repudiation of autonomy of provinces, targeting real political leadership, and other evils,” he added.

Ali Asghar Shahid said that Zia deprived the masses of their rule and continued to install consecutive puppet governments.

He said despite the fact that Zia overthrew the democratic dispensation in 1977, the masses never accepted “artificial” politicians.

“People took up coffins of their leadership but never accepted dictatorship,” he said, adding the Bhutto family had won hearts of people whereas dictators and their so-called descendants were always rejected by the people.

Ali Asghar Shahid claimed that party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was a major threat to the present day’s “artificial political leadership” and descendants of dictatorship.

“PPP is united under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari,” he remarked,
