Well known businessman and business leader of Islamabad Dr. Amir Rashid called on the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. In a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat on Friday, Dr Amir Rashid apprised the Prime Minister of the problems faced by shopkeepers, restaurant owners and small traders belonging to the hotel industry in the federal capital Islamabad. According to details, Dr Aamir told the Prime Minister that it was not possible for shopkeepers and restaurant owners in Islamabad to do indoor business following the Corona SOPs, but if they try to do outdoor business, the CDA staff would encroach. Therefore, in the days of the Corona epidemic, CDA officials should be specially instructed not to harass outdoor businesses, restaurants and shopkeepers under the guise of illegal encroachments.

In addition, Dr. Aamir requested the Prime Minister to announce a package for the promotion of small and medium businesses in the same manner as the subsidy and incentive package for industrialists has been announced. The Prime Minister assured Dr. Amir that special attention would be paid to alleviate the plight of the business community across the country, including the federal capital Islamabad. The Prime Minister further said that the new year would be a year of economic stability for Pakistan The plight of the business community and the people will be reduced and the focus will be on improving their conditions.
