Pakistan, China to enhance cooperation on new technology application: Chinese Ambassador

Islamabad: Pakistan and China on Monday agreed to enhance cooperation on new technology applications in agriculture, heath care, education and other realm.

The agreement came during a meeting here between Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong and Muhammad Naeem, Chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission.

Ambassador Rong later tweeted: “Had a in-depth discussion with Mr. Muhammad Naeem, Chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission. Both sides agreed to further enhance cooperation on new technology application in agriculture, heath care, education and other realm.”

The Chinese Am­­bassador appreciated that there was a national consensus in Pakistan on the need to complete all China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (COEC)-related development projects on time.

The envoy said that since his arrival in Pakistan last October, he has held several meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan and army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa. The Ambassador said he had been regularly exchanging  views with political and business leaders.

The senior diplomat said the impression he got during these meetings was that they not only fully supported CPEC, they were very keen on having greater cooperation to ensure timely completion of all the projects.
