Italy: Venice Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation celebrates Teen Leadership Venice

Venice: The Venice Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation recently celebrated the first graduating class of Teen Leadership Venice.

The community immersion program is made up of sophomore and junior high school students who meet once a month to tour local establishments and visit with community leaders.

The goal was to introduce students to the community where they live and provide a look at the opportunities that may not be familiar to them otherwise. The focus was on Venice history, arts and culture, health and human services, government and law enforcement, economic development, and community awareness.

Members of the Teen Leadership Class of 2022 from Venice High School are Kelsey Ballard, Nicole Beatty, Alexander Buckingham, Madisyn Crites, Addyson Domian, Ava Epstein, Caleb Hess, Riley Highfield, Veda Kushman, Allison Lovley, Emma McGill, Madison Mulvihill, Hunter Naeve, Kaelyn Rudd, Jayden Sanders, Hayli Snaer, Ava Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Ethan Wasserman, and Brayden Wittenbauer.

Applications are available for the next Teen Leadership Venice Class. Students who will be sophomores and juniors during the 2022-23 school year are eligible to apply. The deadline for applications is June 15.
