Finance Minister lauds Bank of China’s contributions for Pakistan

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Miftah Ismail has lauded the contributions of Bank of China (BoC) in financial and economic progress of Pakistan.

He made these remarks during a meeting with Country Head and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bank of China Pakistan Operations Wang Jie, who called on him at the Finance Division.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail welcomed Wang Jie and highlighted the deep economic and brotherly relations between Pakistan and China.

The Finance Minister assured him the present government’s full support and cooperation in Wang Jie briefed the Minister on Bank’s portfolio and appreciated government’s support.

In the meeting, they also exchanged views on current international and regional economic situation besides discussing Pakistan’s economy and the policy to attract foreign direct investment (FDI).

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) also came under discussion where both parties acknowledged that the corridor will further cement the bilateral economic and fraternal relations between Pakistan and China and bring prosperity for both the countries.
