PPP MNA Jam Karim granted protective bail

Karachi: Sindh High Court on Friday granted 10 days protective bail to PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim Jokhio in Nazim Jokhio murder

Jam, who is stated to be in UAE moved a bail application through his employee and attorney Hamza Abbasi stating that he is currently staying in Dubai and wanted to return but apprehends that he would be arrested on his arrival. He stated that he wanted to appear before the trial court and sought protective bail for the same purpose.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Muhammad Iqbal Kalhoro without touching merits of the case granted Jam Abdul Karim protective bail for 10 days directing him to surrender before the trial court.

Jam Karim was booked along with his brother Jam Awais and others for allegedly torturing an environmental activist Nazim Jokhio to death for allegedly preventing Jams’ foreign friends from hunting.

Jam Karim could not attend today’s National Assembly Session as he is staying in UAE and declared absconder in the murder case.
