Rajanpur: A group of 21 employees and volunteers representing the NORINCO International Orange Line Joint Venture (JV) stepped forward in the spirit of Pakistan-China brotherhood to distribute life support essentials amongst the flood victims of Jampur, which stands amongst the most devastated cities in the Rajanpur district of South Punjab by the current ongoing floods crisis.

The specially prepared flood relief packages included ready to eat food items, hygiene products, raw cooking products, and cash support worth 2 million rupees to support those who have been critically affected by the floods. Each package will serve a family of 6-8 members for around one month.

Due to recent monsoon rains, Jampur sub-district of district Rajanpur faced severe losses making it difficult for rescue teams to reach the affected areas and forcing millions of people to leave their homes and seek shelter and assistance elsewhere.

At this difficult time, Orange Line JV has actively participated in donation and rescue activities, which have been highly recognized by the local government and people.

The Orange Line Metro Train project is a good example of China-Pakistan’s iron-clad friendship which is time tested and timeless. During this natural calamity of unprecedented scale, Orange Line firmly stood with the Pakistani brothers and sisters to support them at this difficult time with critical relief efforts.

This essential support from Orange Line JV joins the other ongoing efforts at a crucial time when millions of human lives have been lost, countless families have been displaced, and major infrastructure across many cities has been washed away due to the massive floods.

It will certainly require joint collaborative efforts by everyone to help recover from this immeasurable loss and repair the damage it has caused. Orange Line hope and pray for their safety and rehabilitation. Pakistan and China have once again proved the strength of their friendship amid the floods in Pakistan.
