Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine on February 24 of last year, many European countries, together with Italy, have shown great support for Ukrainian refugees. Thus, in August, the Italian authorities announced that Ukrainian citizens in Italy can use two free bus lines to Ukraine.

In this regard, the authorities emphasized that for all Ukrainians who are in Italy and have decided to travel, travel will be possible only with Ukrainian passports and reservations.

Moreover, the departure of buses for Ukrainian refugees started in September 2022 from Rome on September 5 and 10, while the departure time was at 12.00.

Considering that Italy has shown this great support for Ukraine, it has also opened a platform for them to offer financial assistance to those refugees who have not arrived even on February 24, 2022.

Furthermore, the Italian government also noted that under the temporary protection directive in Italy, refugees coming from Ukraine will be able to find a job or be entitled to unemployment benefits to better integrate these citizens into Italian society.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has also affected migration rates to Italy, as the number of Ukrainian refugees has increased, with 149,321 temporary protection permits granted to them in August.
