Senator Rehman Malik’s death anniversary to be observed on Thursday

Islamabad: The first death anniversary of former Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik will be observed on Thursday, February 23.

Ali Rehman Malik and Umar Rehman Malik, the sons of the deceased, have requested friends, relatives and loved ones to attend the anniversary and offer prayers for forgiveness and Fateha for the deceased.

Former Interior Minister Senator Rehman Malik was born on 12th December 1951 in Sialkot and after completing his primary education he obtained MSc Statistics degree from University of Karachi and as a government officer he held important positions including Director General FIA. And for his gallantry during service, the Government of Pakistan awarded him the Star of Shujaat.

Senator Rehman Malik Shaheed was one of the trusted and loyal associates of Benazir Bhutto and was with her when she went into exile.

The historic agreement of the Charter of Democracy between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan People’s Party was signed at the late Brahman Malik’s house in London, in which he played a very important role.

Late Rehman Malik also had the honor of holding the post of Federal Interior Minister for the longest time in the history of Pakistan. He has also been the Chairman of several important Senate Standing Committees including the Senate Standing Committee on Home Affairs twice.

The Government of Pakistan also awarded him Nishan Imtiaz on the basis of excellence, while the University of Karachi awarded him an honorary Ph.D.

Rehman Malik is the author of six books including Modi War Doctrine, Building Kashmir, ISIS The Rising Monster, Top 100 Investigations and a book on Corona Virus.

The late Rehman Malik always put the national interest first and remained loyal to the People’s Party and the country till death.
