Khokhar slates government’s economic policies

Islamabad: Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, the spokesman to the Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has expressed concern over The Economist’s report which states that PM Imran Khan’s six month old government has broken the record of having the highest price hike in the last five years. Senator Khokhar said that if the economy had been dependent on false allegations, it would have improved a long time ago. Senator Khokhar said that it was amusing how the federal Finance Minister Asad Umar was more worried about Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s speech in English rather than the economic crisis prevailing in the country. He said that the Finance Minister should respond to The Economist’s report instead of misdirecting the people and making excuses. Senator Khokhar said that the continuous price hike is breaking the backbone of the people while the lack of justice is paving way for an outraged public. It is high time that the government adopts a mature attitude towards the worsening conditions, Senator Khokhar said.
