Bhutto wanted Pakistan to lead the world: Syed Zahid Abbas Shah

Frankfurt: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Germany President Syed Zahid Abbas Shah Sunday said that PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto wanted Pakistan to lead the world.

In a statement on the birth anniversary of the late Bhutto, the PPP leader said Bhutto lives on in the hearts of the people decades after his death.

“Today is birthday of Bhutto who always said that his every follower was a Bhutto. He wanted a strong democracy in the country,” Syed Zahid Abbas Shah said.

The PPP leader recalled that Bhutto had started his career from city court and studied in Sindh Muslim Law Collage.

Syed Zahid Abbas Shah said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto gave constitution to the country and also made it a nuclear power. He lauded Bhutto’s services to the country.

He said the PPP would protect constitution of Pakistan and fight all conspiracies against PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former President Asif Ali Zardari.

Syed Zahid Abbas Shah said the.PPP Germany chapter had celebrated the day with a pledge to continue Bhutto’s mission of a strong democratic Pakistan.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was born on January 5, 1928 in Larkana. He held prime minister office from 1973 to 1977. In July 1977, General Ziaul Haq dismissed Bhutto’s government in a coup.

Zia was also perceived to be involved in the controversial decision against Bhutto, leading to his execution on April 4, 1979.
