Bilawal Bhutto says govt squeezing independent media space

Islamabad: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has termed the ban on 24 News HD Channel as part of persistent attempts by Imran Khan regime to hold the entire country and its people incommunicado by squeezing the space for independent media.

Condemning the ban in strongest terms, the PPP Chairman said that besides damaging and destroying economy, national polity and democratic institutions, the regime was continuously targeting and victimising the free media in a bid to demolish the fourth pillar of state.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called upon the democratic forces to rise up against the draconian actions of the worst kakistocracy against everything that this nation has built with relentless hardwork and sacrifices.
He said that Imran Khan and his regime wants to turn nation’s 4th pillar into their personal crutches for the survival of lame, incompetent and incapable regime, which wont be allowed at any cost by democratic forces and the people of Pakistan.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed complete solidarity with the free media and journalist fraternity and assured them that PPP will fight shoulder to shoulder with them like in the past for freedom of media and expression.
