PPP, PML-N have discussed Senate polls: Bilawal Bhutto

Lahore: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Thursday said that his party and the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) had discussed the Senate elections in detail.

Speaking to media, after leading a delegation of the party to meet vice president PML-N, Maryam Nawaz, Chairman PPP said that all the parties in the PDM are working hard and won bye-elections in all four provinces which proves that the people of Pakistan are with the PDM.

Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani is a candidate of Pakistan Democratic Movement and Insha Allah he will win which will prove that parliament is also with the PDM.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani gave respect to every MNA irrespective of his or her party affiliation during his tenure as prime minister. It is also a victory of Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani that because of his candidature for the Senate elections the government has also started valuing its own members.

Responding to question by the journalists Chairman Bilawal said that the selected has been rejected from every province. The government has been exposed because we in the PDM jointly took decisions to take part in bye-elections, Senate elections, long march and other future planning. At the moment we are focusing to send this puppet government home and not thinking about no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Chairman PPP said that we are contesting Senate elections from Islamabad and asking for vote from every member. All the members will have to decide that whether they want to vote for a democratic candidate like Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani or the PTIMF candidate Hafeez Shaikh.

This government has been exposed before the people of Pakistan and once the selected will go then this selected system will go with him. He condemned the incarceration of former opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah and current Opposition leader, Shahbaz Sharif. He also congratulated Hamza Shahbaz on his release on bail.
