CPEC has put Balochistan on the path to prosperity: Chief Minister

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had put the Balochistan province on the path to prosperity.

Addressing the flag hosting ceremony to mark the Independence Day celebrations here at the Balochistan Assembly, the CM said the stability of the economy was of utmost importance for the country which could be achieved through collective resolve and commitment.

Speaker Balochistan Assembly Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, provincial ministers, Members of Provincial Assembly and high officials were also present on the occasion.

CM Khan said CPEC had provided the opportunity to achieve the goal of prosperity and economic stability.

He acknowledged the sacrifices of the people those laid their lives for the country. “Pakistan is our identity and every citizen has to do his part for its development,” he said.

He said the youth and children were the bright future of Pakistan while “we need to make our future generations aware of the historic struggle for Pakistan and about the goals of the country.”

The Chief Minister said freedom was a great blessing and “we should respect the value of the freedom as the importance of value can only be felt when somebody is deprived of a blessing.”

The CM said the nation should not ignore its duties and “today is the day of commitment not to repeat the mistakes of the past. Everyone should try individually to play role for the betterment of the country.”

He said the purpose of celebration of Independence Day was “to pledge for betterment of the country because our forefathers had made great sacrifices for this day.”
