Islamabad: Opposition leader in the Senate Yousuf Raza Gilani was Wednesday stopped by officers from travelling to Rome, Italy, to attend an Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Officers, aware of the matter, said that Gilani hoped to journey to Italy together with his daughter to attend IPU’s Pre-COP26 Parliamentary Assembly. The previous prime minister was barred from travelling as his title was on the Exit Management Listing (ECL), they added.
