CPEC has put underdeveloped areas on par with the modern cities: Aviation Minister

Rawalpindi: Pakistani Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had put the underdeveloped areas on par with the modern cities.

Addressing a public meeting after inauguration of 10 kilometer road project from Sangjani to Paswal, he expressed his wish that the foundation stone of the CPEC’s Ring Road project would also be laid in this area.

“CPEC is playing a magical role. The underdeveloped areas of yesterday are now on par with the modern cities. Pakistani areas are developing fast thanks to CPEC,” he maintained.

About the inauguration of 10 kilometer road project, Khan noted that Pakistan’s largest Islamabad International Airport, CPEC and Motorway projects were adjacent to this area. More facilities would be provided to the residents of this area,” he added.

Khan mentioned that CPEC projects had prompted more development projects by the Pakistani government as a support.

“The government has put the country on the path of development and the masses would soon get relief,” the minister remarked.

He informed that the rehabilitation and construction of the road project would be completed in 12 months at an estimated cost of Pakistani Rs 70 million.

Khan reminded that Sangjani to Paswal area was a most backward area but, now it was on the path of development. He pledged that efforts would also be made to set up a college in this area next year as the people living in this area were not only residents of his constituency rather, he had a relation of love with them.

On the occasion, Member National Assembly, Mansoor Hayat Khan and Member Punjab Assembly, Ammar Siddique Khan also addressed the gathering.
