PM assures Mengal of resolving issues of Baloch youth

Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said the government on a priority basis would take measures to ensure the national mainstreaming of the youth of Balochistan.

The prime minister expressed these views in a meeting with Chairman Balochistan National Party Sardar Akhtar Mengal.

PM Shehbaz Sharif termed the Baloch workforce an asset for the country.

The meeting, also joined by federal ministers Rana Sanaullah and Khwaja Saad Rafique, discussed the current political situation in the country.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered to ensure foolproof security measures for former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

PM Shehbaz has directed the Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah to take immediate measures for Imran Khan’s security after the report of the threat. Rana Sanaullah was also instructed to personally monitor the measures.

The interior ministry while following the directives by the PM, issued emergency letters to the Home Secretaries of all four provinces ordering strict measures for the former prime minister.

The letter holds that strict security should be ensured for Imran Khan and no negligence in this regard would be tolerated. it also stressed the deployment of bomb disposal squad outside the residence of former prime minister in Bani Gala.

Days after the toppling of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) government, Imran Khan kicked off nationwide protests starting from Peshawar that follows a public gathering in Karachi and now PTI is all set for a power show in Lahore amid serious security threats.

The incumbent government has already advised PTI to hold the rally virtually keeping the security alerts in view.

Earlier, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry also feared that plans have been shaped to assassinate Khan.
