LHC asks govt to submit reply on Hamza Shehbaz case

Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday directed the federal government to submit reply till March 7 on a petition filed against including the name of opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz on blacklist. During the hearing, the federation lawyer requested the court to grant him some time for the preparation of the arguments. On the other hand, the plaintiff said that Hamza Shehbaz’s name should be excluded from the list as he is fully cooperating with the court. Earlier, Hamza Shehbaz had decided to prolong his stay in Britain for 15 days citing certain health issues with his newborn daughter. In this regard, his lawyer Azam Nazeer Tarar had filed an application in LHC. The application mentioned that his newborn daughter is scheduled to undergo a heart surgery in London, and subsequently pleaded with the court to extend his stay for another 15 days.
