Bilawal Bhutto condemns arrest of PPP North Waziristan leader Shafqat Dawar

Islamabad: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto has condemned the arrest of PPP North Waziristan leader Shafqat Dawar and termed it as a part of PTI government’s sinister plan to silence and coerce its political opponents who expose its face full of dark spots.

In a statement, the PPP Chairman said that PPP workers have fought tinpot dictators in the past but never bowed down because they are the true democratic workers who are always ready to sacrifice their everything for people’s rights as per the legacy of the Party leadership and workers.
He said that arrest of former Information Secretary of PPP North Waziristan Shafqat Dawar was a sheer political victimisation of the PTI government and demanded his immediate release.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PPP leadership and workers stand by the Jiyalas who are faced with threats and coersion in different corners of the country, including the former FATA areas and would extend all possible legal and moral support to them and their families.
