Government should ensure Matiullah Jan’s safety: Bilawal Bhutto

Lahore: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed grave concern over the kidnapping of journalist Matiullah Jan and demanded of the government to ensure his safe return soon.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the kidnapping of Matiullah Jan is not only an attack on the freedom of the press but it is also an attack on democracy and all of us. Today, Matiullah Jan has been kidnapped and tomorrow it could be you and I.

He was addressing PPP members from Punjab Assembly and the heads of affiliated wings of the party. He directed them to make people aware of the inefficiency and inabilities of PTI government. He said that PTI government in Punjab has failed to solve the problems of the people during a pandemic. The failures of Punjab government have put the lives of the people in danger. He said that only the PPP can solve the issues of the people of Punjab. He said that PPP will not allow the federal government to gulp down Rs. 483 billions of Punjab. Chairman PPP asked that who is doing corruption in Punjab.
