Govt presented anti-people budget: Shazia Marri

Islamabad: Central Information Secretary Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) and Member of the National Assembly Shazia Atta Marri has said that recent federal government’s budget is an anti-people budget and also caused worrying even for the salaried class.

She added that incompetent federal government had promised a 10 percent increase in salaries but didn’t implement while  inflation has been increased day by day.

The government has levied a tax on medical allowances and betrayed the agriculture sector by levied 17 percent tax on cotton seed and PTI-led government presented federal budget on the dictation of International Monetary Fund and as per IMF directions soon the price of petroleum products would be increased.

Shazia Marri said that by the end of November, there will be Rs 2.8 trillion circular debt and every Pakistani is now indebted to Rs 2.5 lakh in the country due to bad economic policies of PTI-led government.

This she said while holding a press conference alongwith PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi at Sindh House Islamabad here. Ms Marri informed that tomorrow, the Finance Bill would be presented in the National Assembly and further informed that tax will be imposed by government on medical allowance and GP funds of the employees. She added that government has an army of clowns and jockers, and among them, four jockers stand against opposition each day.

“A joker from them sometimes rides on a bicycle and sometimes joins the PPP”, she added.  She questioned that what kind of pill do they take that suddenly changes their conscience?

She further said that people are fed up with PTI’s government and those who voted for PTI are ready to cut their hands because they felt it was their big mistake to vote for PTI. She said that the representatives of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) had written a letter to the Prime Minister to record their reservations that media is being controlled by the government and Pakistani nation is crying on growing inflation rate while no relief is being given to the people by the government. Shazia Marri while talking about Imran khan’s recent statement on women’s dress up said Imran Khan has no need to tell the Pakistani women about clothes and dress up, they know their limits.

“I feel sorry for the women who have become the spokespersons of the Prime Minister & no concessions should be given to those who do involved in child abuse and rape cases like dirty work in the country”, she added. She further said that we want good relations with neighboring countries, but Modi’s hands are stained with the blood of Muslims. Ms Marri added that Prime Minster Imran Khan on his return from a visit to USA, said that the Kashmir issue had been resolved, but it is still not resolved.

She said that Pakistan being a nuclear country has avoided many dangers and the Pakistani nation will not compromise on the country’s nuclear program. Shazia Marri further said that the first written agreement with NATO was carried out during the PPP government and there was not any agreement took place with NATO under Pervez Musharraf’s rule. She added that Imran Khan had run away from home and he would leave the country like this again and country is getting into trouble due to statements of PTI government. On this occasion, Faisal Karim Kundi while talking to mediapersons a said that federal ministers are unable to sleep due to Bilawal Bhutto’s visit to Kashmir and they are in unrest condition so far they are talking against Bilwal Bhutto Zardari in their speeches and Pakistan’s resources and development funds are being also used during election campaign.
