PPP to pursue agenda of mainstreaming ex FATA by mobilizing youth

Islamabad: The Pakistan Peoples’ Party is pursuing the agenda of mainstreaming and integration of ex tribal districts in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and for this purpose it is mobilizing the tribal youth in forthcoming electioneering for the local governments.

This has been stated by secretary general of the Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians senator Farhatullah Babar in a statement on the eve of formal launch of campaigning of Dr Shershah for the office of Tehsil Nazim Bara in Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“Dr Shershah is a young, highly educated and progressive activist whose election as Tehsil chairman of an important Tehsil in Khyber will give a boost to the campaign for uplift of former tribal districts”, he said.

He urged the people of Bara Tehsil to come out in large numbers on the voting day and vote for progressive youthful and educated Dr Shershah Afridi.

Farhatullah Babar said that the people of tribal districts have long suffered due to ill advised state policies during the past decades and it was time to heal the wounds on the bodies and souls of tribal people.

He called for curbing the resurgence of militants in ex tribal districts, demining of the areas, rehabilitation of the people impacted during various operations and launch of a massive socio economic program for the uplift of the areas.
