Making Usman Buzdar CM of Punjab was biggest conspiracy: Sarwar

Lahore: Chaudhry Sarwar, who has been sacked as the governor of Punjab, on Sunday said making Usman Buzdar the chief minister of Punjab was the biggest conspiracy against the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), while Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Jehangir Khan Tareen and Aleem Khan were candidates for the office of the chief minister.

“Every PTI worker had been crying to remove Usman Buzdar. Even I and Fawad Chaudhry were candidates for the CM office,” Chaudhry Sarwar said talking to media in Lahore, in response to his removal as the governor, after his differences with the party leadership surfaced.

He said he was blamed for playing double game. Prime Minister Imran Khan asked him to defer the Punjab Assembly session for new Leader of the House, he said.

The PTI leader slammed the party decision to nominate Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for the CM’s office. He said nominating the party of nine MPAs for CM office was a slap on PTI’s face.

“Earlier, the PM did not trust 184 members of the PTI and one such person was elected for the slot of chief minister who was not even worker of the PTI. Now, the PM is making the person CM who has been blackmailing him for three and a half years,” he said.

The former Punjab governor said roads of the province were dilapidated. He said in the Naya Pakistan chief secretary and IG police were being changed after three months. Even assistant commissioners and deputy commissioners were being appointed by taking money, he blamed.
