Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Nafisa Shah said Friday that the Supreme Court decision was historic which saved the parliament from becoming ineffective.

“Supreme Court’s decision to restore constitution and save parliament from being disrespected will be remembered in history. The PPP will take part in voting enthusiastically,” she said.

She said the Supreme Court’s rejection of Imran Khan government’s “unconstitutional and dictatorial measures” was a clear message for the undemocratic forces.

“It has been proved that now no one can dare to disrespect the constitution. Supreme Court decision has forever blocked those who misinterpret the Constitution as a piece of paper,” Nafisa Shah added.

She said April 9 was the last day for the ‘selected government.’ “It is time for Imran Khan to resign and go home on his own before being voted out,” she said.
