Shehbaz Sharif orders issuance of diplomatic passport to Nawaz Sharif, ordinary passport to Dar

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered the issuance of diplomatic passport to his elder brother and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and ordinary passport to former finance minister Ishaq Dar.

According to a media report, High Commission of Pakistan in London has immediately been ordered to issue the passports to both personalities.

The High Commission personnel informed the authorities concerned that Ishaq Dar could not be issued a diplomatic passport.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday was given guard of honour at the Prime Minister House as he assumed the responsibilities of his office.

PM Shehbaz Sharif reviewed the guard of honour as the contingents of the armed forces presented salute to him. The prime minister was introduced to the officials and staff of the PM House.

Shehbaz Sharif was sworn-in as the country’s 23rd prime minister a day earlier after he won a no-confidence vote from the National Assembly against his predecessor Imran Khan. Acting President and Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani had administered the oath.
