Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto meet Shehbaz Sharif for felicitations

Islamabad: President of the Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) Asif Ali Zaradri and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Thursday called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif here and congratulated him on assuming the premiership.

The prime minister thanked both the PPP leaders for their cooperation in formation of the coalition government.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to enable the incumbent government to overcome the prevailing challenges.

The prime minister said that his government’s priority was to strive for Pakistan’s uplift through consultation and mutual cooperation.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the current economic situation wherein he directed his economic team to formulate an economic reforms strategy on an emergency basis.

The prime minister said that the government was taking urgent measures to achieve the economic stability of the country.

He asked the economic team to take all measures for the economic uplift of the common man.

The prime minister also called for urgent measures not only to improve the economic situation but also to overcome inflation.

The finance ministry gave a detailed briefing to the prime minister who expressed his concerns over the worrisome economic indicators.
