China Study Center officially inaugurated at University of Engineering and Technology

Lahore: The Higher Education Commission (HEC)-funded China Study Center (CSC) was officially inaugurated at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET).

The centre was officially inaugurated by Director of the China Study Center Professor Dr Shahid Rafique and Vice Chancellor of UET Professor Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar.

To encourage academic and scientific collaborations between universities in China and Pakistan, the China Study Centre was formed as a scaled-down version of a think tank.

Driving collaborative initiatives to improve understanding of the Chinese system, culture, and economic miracle is the center’s primary duty.

The ceremony was attended by the deans of every faculty, the registrar, the director of Institute of Business and Management (IB&M), the chair of the department of humanities and natural sciences, the in-charge of the Chinese language programme, and the entire Chinese language team.

The CSC endeavors to enrich understanding between China and Pakistan through research, learning, institutional linkages, and people to people contacts.

It aims at achieving continuous progress through research and dissemination of information about China and Pakistan in a manner that is in tune with the expectations of the peoples of two friendly countries.
