Direct air flight betweeb Kazakhstan- Pakistan to start from Saturday: Envoy

Islamabad: Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin said direct air flight between Kazakhstan and Pakistan will be started from Saturday which will increase the economic, social and cultural integration of both countries.

He said this while addressing the round table on ‘Kazakhstan and Pakistan bilateral ties and way forward’ in Islamabad today.

He said duration of the direct flight between the two countries will be two hours only.

Highlighting the geo-strategic location of Pakistan, the ambassador said there is a lot of attraction in the ports of Gwadar and Karachi, through which Kazakhstan, including Central Asia, can be accessed to the markets of Europe and Africa.

Yerzhan Kistafin said Pakistan and Kazakhstan have vast possibilities of cooperation in the fields of agriculture, education, sports and tourism.

The EU has allocated over €136 million in humanitarian assistance for Pakistan since 2016 and has been supporting the country since the 1990s, offering support in the wake of major disasters such as the 2005 earthquake and the 2010 and 2015 floods.
