Shehbaz Sharif discusses Pakistan-China cooperation with Railways Minister

Lahore: Khawaja Saad Rafique, the Pakistani Federal Minister for Railways and Aviation, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif here to discuss the ongoing Pakistan-China cooperation.

The minister provided the Prime Minister with a briefing on the reorganization of the National Aviation Policy and the ongoing cooperation between Pakistan and China regarding the Main Line 1 (ML-1) project under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), said an official statement.

Rafique updated the Prime Minister on the progress made in reforming Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and the outsourcing process, aiming to enhance airport services.

“During the meeting, they also discussed matters concerning the relevant ministry and the overall political situation of the country,” the statement added.
