Italy anxious after Chiesa suffers muscle issue

Rome: The 25-year-old winger suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in January of last year, forcing him out of action for over 10 months, and he struggled to show his best after returning last season.

Chiesa has looked more positive in Juventus’ first three outings of the new campaign, scoring in their wins over Udinese and Empoli, and many fans were excited to see him in action under new Azzurri boss Luciano Spalletti.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Chiesa was forced to stop during a training session today after suffering a muscle problem, feeling discomfort in his adductor.

The 25-year-old will undergo a round of diagnostic tests today and is now expected to sit out of Italy’s upcoming Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia, scheduled for Saturday evening.
