Peshawar: Dr. Qibla Ayaz, the Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), has emphasized the importance of maintaining consistent policies on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in order to fully harness the benefits of this project.

He made these remarks while delivering a speech at a seminar titled ‘Sino-Pakistan Relations – The New Avenues’ held at the China Study Centre (CSC) within the University of Peshawar (UoP).

The seminar was attended by various notable figures, including Dr. Mohammad Saleem, the Pro Vice Chancellor of UoP, and Ali Nawaz Gilani, the general secretary of the Pak-China Friendship Association Khyber Pakhtunkhaw Chapter, along with a significant number of students. During their stay in China, the delegation visited various cities, including Beijing, Galin, and Urumqi, where they interacted with local Muslim communities and even conducted Friday prayers at local mosques.

They also had the opportunity to visit an Islamic Centre in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, where they received insights from the Uyghur Muslim population.
