Rawalpindi: Pakistani and China agreed on the exchange of cultural delegations, students, artisans, entrepreneurs, and individuals from diverse sectors on both sides to fortify cultural connections between Pakistan and China.

Executive Director of the Punjab Council of the Arts (PAC), Syed Bilal Haider held a meeting with the Chinese Cultural Consul Zhang Heqing to discuss enhanced cooperation.

Syed Bilal Haider stressed on a significant endeavor to establish international recognition for Punjab’s cultural heritage, marking a historic step towards the promotion of art and culture in the Punjab region.

PAC said in a statement that during their discussion, Syed Bilal Haider proposed the exchange of cultural delegations, students, artisans, entrepreneurs, and individuals from diverse sectors on both sides to fortify cultural connections between Pakistan and China.

Zhang Heqing, the Chinese Cultural Consul, warmly accepted all the suggestions put forth by the Executive Director of PAC and pledged to take prompt action on these proposals.

The Executive Director and the Chinese Consul explored the possibility of organizing a two-day Pak-China Festival in Lahore.

This event would feature artists from both countries showcasing their artistic talents, with the fusion of cultural elements from both nations at the heart of the festival.

Syed Bilal Haider also presented a memento to the Chinese Cultural Consul as a token of appreciation and goodwill during the meeting.
