Rome: Italy is the land of art, history, culture, and delectable cuisine, and a bucket-list destination for many. The Bedford County Chamber of Commerce is planning an adventurous visit to Italy in March of 2024, and invites anyone interested in being part of the group to attend an informational meeting about the trip on Tuesday, November 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Chamber office in Bedford.

“We are very pleased to partner with Citslinc Travel, the company that originated Chamber trips two decades ago,” said Chamber President-CEO Kellie Goodman Shaffer. “We know this trip will be filled with beautiful sights and unforgettable experiences.”

From the romantic canals of Venice to the ancient ruins of Rome and the picturesque landscapes of Tuscany, the itinerary promises an unforgettable adventure.

The 9-day package is offered for the amazing price of $3,399 per person, based on double room occupancy. The registration fee includes roundtrip international airfare, 9-day deluxe tour package, four-and five-star hotel accommodations, breakfast and lunch, fluent English-speaking tour guides and entrance fees to all planned attractions.

The itinerary begins March 23, 2024, with a flight out of Washington Dulles (IAD) Airport for an overnight connection or direct flight to Rome. Two days in Rome will include tours of Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world. Tourers will walk among the beautiful Galleries of Tapestries, admiring Raphael’s Rooms and visit St. Peter’s Square. Also on the agenda are visits to the Colosseum, Bisillica of St. Francis and much more, with stops in Assisi, Siena, Florence, Bologna, Padova, Venice and Milan including many landmarks from the Leaning Tower of Pisa, to the “Bridge of Sights” along Venice’s Canals.

The once-in-a-lifetime trip is priced for groups to enjoy the experience together. The tour company reports many successful adventures of families and friends, with the comfort of the deluxe motorcoach and the confidence in a trusted and knowledgeable guide.

Anyone interested in learning more about the opportunity to tour Italy is invited to the informational meeting, and you can RSVP for the free no-obligation presentation by calling 814-623-2233 or registering on the Chamber website.

Travelers need not be members of the Chamber to participate — all are welcome.
