Speakers emphasize CPEC’s crucial role in fostering Pakistan’s prosperity, global collaboration

Peshawar: Speakers at a seminar in Peshawar emphasized the crucial role of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in fostering Pakistan’s prosperity and global collaboration.

The seminar, organized by China Window and IMSciences, addressed the need for Pakistan to enhance its industries and generate youth employment through CPEC.

In his speech, Secretary of Agriculture Javed Marwat hailed CPEC as a transformative game-changer, presenting both challenges and unprecedented opportunities for the nation.

Marwat expressed optimism about the Special Investment Facilitation Council attracting investments from various countries, including China, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.

He highlighted the potential for agricultural development, suggesting the adoption of China’s successful agricultural model.

In his comments, Dr Usman Ghani, Director of IMSciences, emphasized that CPEC encompasses educational collaboration, benefiting Pakistani students through scholarships and MoUs between institutions in Pakistan and China.

Adil Salahuddin, Chief Commercial Officer of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC), outlined the provincial government’s initiatives to promote industrialization, anticipating a new era of economic development in CPEC’s second phase.

Addressing the audience, Professor Dr. Gulzar Jalal underscored the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, urging Pakistan to learn from China’s development model.

Amjad Aziz Malik, Administrator of China Window, provided insights into the Chinese Cultural Center’s role in fostering cultural exchange between China and Pakistan.

Shields were distributed to the speakers, emphasizing the significance of such cultural initiatives in strengthening the bonds of friendship and collaboration between the two nations.
