Chinese experts visit Purewal Farms in Khanewal symbolizing significant cross-country collaboration

Khanewal: A delegation of six Chinese experts recently visited Purewal Farms in Khanewal, symbolizing a significant cross-country collaboration milestone.

Under the Green Pakistan Initiative, the Sustainable Innovation and Farming Corporation (SIFC) has gained international acclaim for its forward-thinking corporate practices.

This farm, inaugurated under the FONGROW project in July by the Pakistani Army Chief and Prime Minister, is a shining example of success in modern corporate farming, aligning seamlessly with the Green Pakistan Initiative’s objectives.

Purewal Farms, currently in the midst of harvesting its inaugural crop, has received accolades for its utilization of state-of-the-art machinery and commitment to sustainable agricultural methods, said an official statement issue here on Friday afternoon.

The Chinese delegation conducted a thorough inspection, scrutinizing the farm’s machinery and the diverse array of crops being cultivated. The farm’s emphasis on efficiency and environmental consciousness was evident in the use of cutting-edge equipment during the harvesting process.

Purewal Farms holds significance not only as a contributor to sustainable agriculture but also as the first modern corporate farm producing crops under the Green Pakistan Initiative.

Members of the Chinese delegation lauded Fan Grove Farms and the Green Pakistan Initiative, expressing admiration for the integration of technology, sustainability, and productivity.

They acknowledged the positive impact on both local and global agricultural landscapes. This visit highlighted the potential for collaboration between China and Pakistan in agriculture, paving the way for the exchange of expertise and ideas and opening new avenues for bilateral cooperation.
