Chinese envoy, Balochistan CM discuss collaborative development, public welfare projects

Gwadar: Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong met with Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki to discuss collaborative development and public welfare projects, focusing on mutual interests and China’s role in Balochistan, particularly Gwadar.

On the occasion, Ambassador Zaidong expressed satisfaction with the progress of ongoing development projects in Gwadar and expressed a desire to expand China’s investment in various sectors within Balochistan.

The meeting reflected the shared commitment to strengthening ties and fostering a cooperative partnership for the benefit of both nations.

In his remarks, CM Domki emphasized the enduring friendship between China and Pakistan, highlighting the significance of bilateral cooperation and the potential for increased investment in various sectors.

He underscored the positive impact of China’s investment in Gwadar on Balochistan’s economy, noting the city’s vital role in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Domki acknowledged China’s consistent support in Gwadar’s construction and development, mentioning the installation of coal power plants to meet energy needs.

He highlighted completed projects like the desalination water plant, providing clean drinking water, and the Pakistan-China Friendship Hospital, a symbol of China’s benevolence toward Gwadar’s residents.

The Chief Minister expressed a commitment to nurturing and enhancing bilateral relations, emphasizing mutual trade and regional cooperation.
