Infodor Media Salon last session focuses on CPEC ICT projects

Islamabad: The third and last session of the “Infodor Media Salon” focused on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects.

The event took place at the All-Pakistan Chinese Enterprises’ Association (APCEA) office in Islamabad.

The session commenced with an extensive overview of the progress of CPEC, acknowledging the contributions from all stakeholders and presenting perspectives on the robust Pakistan-China relations, said a statement by APCEA on Thursday afternoon.

Attendees included representatives from prominent Chinese ICT sector companies such as China Mobile Pakistan (CM Pak) Zong, Huawei, Sunwalk, Hikvision, Heroboss, Carlcare Services, and ZTE Pakistan.

Noteworthy participants also included senior representatives from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Global Silk Route Research Alliance, and COMSATS University China Study Center. Media coverage was broad, involving Chinese outlets like CCTV, Economic Daily, Huashang Weekly, Xinhua News, and China Economic Net, as well as Pakistani media such as PTV, Jang Media Group, Pakistan Economic Net, Gwadar Pro, Hum News, and APP.

The event underscored the importance of transparent reporting and communication in enhancing public understanding of CPEC and Pak-China relations, as emphasized by the Executive Director of Infodor. CM Pak highlighted its contributions in the energy sector, Huawei showcased its role in 5G infrastructure development, Sunwalk emphasized achievements in fiber network delivery, and Hikvision discussed advanced surveillance for CPEC projects.

Heroboss elaborated on innovative technologies for communication networks, Carlcare Services detailed its role in technical support, and ZTE Pakistan shared insights into its telecommunications solutions. The discussions focused on specific technologies, deployment timelines, societal benefits, and strategies for success in various sectors.

The salon concluded with a commitment to ongoing collaboration and shared efforts to realize the economic prosperity and regional development goals of CPEC.

The common vision remains the achievement of sustained economic prosperity and enhanced regional development through the successful implementation of CPEC projects.
