AIOU organises walk on Kashmir Solidarity Day

Lahore: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Regional Campus, Lahore, on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5, teachers, students and employees of the regional campus organized a symbolic walk to pay tribute to the struggle of Kashmiris and to condemn Indian atrocities and domination.

On this occasion, a minute’s silence was observed to express solidarity with the Kashmiris. Addressing the participants, Amanullah Malik, Regional Director of Allama Iqbal Open University said that international organizations are completely silent on the plight of Kashmir. It is a pity. That in today’s civilized era, Kashmiris are waiting for the right of self-determination.

Dr. Uzma Tariq, Naila Tahir and Mirza Ahmar also addressed the audience At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the success of the Kashmiri martyrs and the freedom movement of Kashmir.
