Pakistan second home for Chinese people: Punjab police chief

Lahore: Inspector General Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has said that Pakistan is the second home for the Chinese people.

He was presiding over a video-link meeting at the Central Police Office here.

Dr. Usman Anwar said that the security of the Chinese residents was the duty of Pakistani law enforcement forces.

He directed to increase checking at inter-provincial police check posts to ensure everyone’s safety.

Anwar said Pakistan was safe for the Chinese people like their own home.

During the meeting, tasks given by chief minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, such as crime control and implementation of other directives were reviewed. IG Punjab also discussed the ongoing measures to prevent kite flying, drug selling, motorcycle theft, crimes related to women and children.

IG Punjab issued orders to speed up measures to improve traffic flow on the highways.

He said that zero tolerance should be adopted against aerial firing, display of weapons, vehicles with dark glasses.

City police chief Lahore and other senior police officers were present in the meeting.
