TMUC Islamabad Launches TMUC Accelerate Incubation Centre to Champion Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Transformation

Islamabad, May 23, 2025 — The Millennium Universal College TMUC Islamabad, officially launched the TMUC Accelerate Incubation Centre, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at catalyzing innovation, supporting startups, and strengthening Pakistan’s knowledge economy. This landmark event showcased TMUC’s continued dedication to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs through education, mentorship, and strategic industry partnerships.
Held at TMUC’s state-of-the-art Islamabad campus, the launch event welcomed prominent figures from the public and private sectors who collectively reinforced the urgent need for platforms that foster creativity, technology-driven solutions, and youth-led enterprise.
Opening the ceremony, Dr. Faisal Mushtaq TI, Founder and CEO of TMUC Higher Education Group, highlighted TMUC’s vision of integrating academic excellence with real-world impact. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing opportunities that go beyond traditional education, aiming to transform ideas into scalable business ventures.
TMUC has partnered with AdVentures, an innovation and investment platform led by Mr. Parvez Abbasi, to establish and operate the TMUC Accelerate Incubation Centre. Mr. Abbasi formally introduced the initiative, describing it as a space designed to nurture entrepreneurial talent with access to capital, mentorship, and industry linkages. The collaboration with AdVentures brings deep expertise and a strong support system to enable startup success at every stage.
The keynote address was delivered by Kabeer Naqvi, President of Abhi Bank, who discussed the transformative role of fintech in the entrepreneurial landscape and emphasized the necessity of financial readiness for innovation-driven growth.
Throughout the event, thought leaders and executives underscored the vital role of technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), in shaping the future of business. Shafiq Akbar, CEO of Imarat Group, Grana.com, and Agency2, emphasized the imperative for startups and established enterprises alike to adopt AI technologies to drive efficiency, improve decision-making, and unlock new markets. Similarly, Sardar Yasir Ilyas, CEO of Centaurus, highlighted the role of AI in revolutionizing retail and service industries in Pakistan, urging entrepreneurs to embrace digital tools as a means of staying competitive in an increasingly globalized economy.
Additional insights were shared by Mr. Usman Shaukat, President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI), who advocated for stronger academia-industry collaboration. Dr. Kaleem Imam, Former Inspector General of Police for Sindh and Punjab, spoke on leadership and resilience, while Javaid Iqbal, Executive Director of the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA), emphasized regulatory support for startups. Ambassador Sohail Mahmood, Director General of the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI), provided a strategic outlook on economic diplomacy, and Aamir Masood Khan, President and CEO of HBL Microfinance Bank, addressed the role of financial institutions in enabling inclusive entrepreneurship.
The event concluded with remarks by Ambassador Masood Khan, President of TMUC Higher Education Group, who outlined the way forward for TMUC Accelerate. He emphasized the critical importance of collaborative innovation and strategic partnerships to build a future-ready entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan.
