Italy Schengen visa from Pakistan 2025 – approval chances, bank statement update

Rome: If you are planning to apply for a Schengen visa of a European country from Pakistan, Italy may be one of the best choices for various reasons, most importantly its third highest approval rate in 2024.
Latest data revealed that in 2024, Italy’s Schengen visa approval rates stood at 88.72 percent, making it the third country in Europe with highest Schengen visa approval.
The top spot was secured by Iceland with 91.25% approval rate followed by Slovakia with 89.25% approval rate. Italy has proved favourable for visa seekers from across the world including Pakistan.
As per the statistics, there are brighter chances that Pakistani citizens will get the short-term Schengen visa of Italy due to higher via approval rate.
However, the approval of the visa purely depends on the visa application and relevant documents such as bank statement.
The bank statement, a document that shows you have sufficient financial resources for your stay in any Schengen country. It should be no more than 30 days old.
Reports said the minimum daily required amount for bearing expense of stay in Italy stands at 28 Euros. An applicant is required to show the amount enough for the days he/she intends to spend there.
If you are planning to stay for maximum duration of 90 days on Schengen visa, you will require 2520 Euros to meet expense of the stay.
As of May 27, 2025, one Euro is equal to Rs325. It means you need to have around Rs819,000 in your bank account if your stay is for 90 days in Italy.
