ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan Tuesday emphasized the importance of enhancing trade relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
The statement came during a meeting with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, who visited the Commerce Minister’s office for discussions.
The meeting represented a significant step forward in the preparations to launch the formal Pakistan-UK Trade Dialogue, which is expected to be signed in the near future. Both parties expressed a shared commitment to substantially increase bilateral trade, which currently stands at £4.7 billion, with considerable scope for growth. The upcoming Trade Dialogue will focus on unlocking this potential through practical collaboration, data-driven strategies, and targeted sectoral reforms.
