Italy’s Ambassador Marilina Armellin meets Minister for Railways to discuss bilateral cooperation

Islamabad: Minister for Railways, Mohammad Hanif Abbasi, held a meeting with the Italian Ambassador to Pakistan, Ms. Marilina Armellin on Thursday, to discuss matters of mutual interest and avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the railway sector.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening ties between Pakistan and Italy through joint ventures, technological collaboration, and investment in infrastructure.

The Minister appreciated Italy’s longstanding diplomatic and economic relations with Pakistan and expressed hope for deeper engagement in modernizing Pakistan’s railway system.

Ambassador Armellin highlighted Italy’s expertise in railway engineering and transport logistics.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to work closely on potential collaborations that can contribute to the socio-economic development of both nations.
