Pakistan meteorological department predicts severe heatwave across most parts of the country

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted a severe heatwave in most parts of the country
over the next four to five days.
According to the Met Office, daytime temperatures are expected to remain 5 to 7°C above normal in the upper half
of the country, while 4 to 6°C above normal in the southern half from June 7th to 12th.
The Met Office informed that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A high-pressure system in
the upper atmosphere is also prevailing over the country and is likely to persist during the next 4 to 5 days.
