Pakistan, Sweden celebrate 75 years of bilateral relations with commemorative book launch

Islamabad: Marking 75 years of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Sweden, Swedish Ambassador Alex Berg von Linde called on Additional Secretary (Europe) Muhammad Ayub at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and presented a commemorative shield along with a special publication titled “75 Years of Partnership – Sweden and Pakistan.”
Published by the Embassy of Sweden in Islamabad, the book highlights the evolution of the Pakistan-Sweden relationship, chronicling key diplomatic milestones, high-level visits, and growing people-to-people exchanges. It also celebrates the contributions of Swedish companies, non-governmental organizations, and individuals who have played a role in Pakistan’s development over the decades.
Describing the exchange as a “reflection of enduring friendship, shared values, and future-forward cooperation,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs underscored the depth and resilience of the bilateral partnership.
The symbolic gesture affirms both countries’ commitment to enhancing mutual cooperation across various fields including trade, sustainability, innovation, and cultural exchange.
