Zhengzhou: On June 19, Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone (ZAEZ) reported robust cross-border e-commerce growth for this year’s June 18 shopping carnival: 25.41 million import and export orders with a transaction value of 3.396 billion yuan, up 105% and 92% year-on-year respectively. These figures account for over 25% of the total business volume in 2025, demonstrating strong regional industrial vitality.
“The record-breaking performance during this year’s June 18 shopping reaffirms the effectiveness of ZAEZ’s development strategy of ‘enhancing the hub, gathering industries, and optimizing services,'” said a source from the ZAEZ Investment Promotion Department.
Leveraging its strategic role in the construction of the “Air Silk Road”, ZAEZ has implemented measures such as expanding international cargo routes, optimizing customs clearance efficiency, building professional service teams, establishing the Henan Cross-border E-commerce Association, and setting up the ZAEZ Cross-border E-commerce Association in recent years. These efforts have integrated premium cross-border e-commerce resources nationwide and globally, promoting coordinated development across the entire industry chain. As a result, ZAEZ’s transaction value and order volume of cross-border e-commerce imports and exports have doubled year-on-year. As of May 31, 2025, ZAEZ’s cross-border e-commerce imports and exports reached 104.5 million orders with a transaction value of 12.39 billion yuan, showing year-on-year growth of 81.17% and 47.42%, respectively. Among this, cross-border exports totaled 83.91 million orders with a transaction value of 8.423 billion yuan, reflecting year-on-year increases of 138.58% and 91.72%, maintaining strong growth momentum.
