Interior ministry presents interactive map of road accidents across Bulgaria

Sofia: Bulgaria’s Interior Ministry Saturday presented an interactive map of road accidents across this country. The map is available on the Ministry’s website, Commissioner Maria Boteva, deputy head of Traffic Police, said.
The map allows users to analyze road accident data by selecting specific time periods and filtering by region and type of road accidents.
The map is one of the measures announced by the prime minister with the aim to reduce the number of road accidents, Boteva said.
Each road accident is added to the map once it has been reported by an Interior Ministry officer at the scene.
Mondays and Fridays are the days with the highest number of road accidents, the peak hours being between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., Boteva said.
The regions with the most road accidents are Plovdiv, Varna and Sofia.
