RPO reviews CPEC route security in Dera Ismail Khan

Dera Ismail Khan: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar conducted a comprehensive security inspection of the CPEC Motorway segment from Abdul Khel to Yarik Interchange on Wednesday to ensure uninterrupted and safe transit along the corridor.

Accompanied by District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, Surintendent Police (SP) Paharpur Asad Ali Shah, and SP Motorway Atiq-ur-Rehman, the RPO visited several checkpoints and met with Motorway Police and Elite Force personnel at the Yarik Interchange.

The RPO chaired a high-level meeting with security officials, where detailed briefings were given on the current security arrangements. He directed intensified joint patrolling, optimal resource utilization, and enhanced coordination among agencies to counter potential threats.

Emphasizing the critical importance of the CPEC route, RPO Anwar ordered a crackdown on suspicious activity in adjacent areas and instructed local police to carry out search and strike operations in coordination with allied forces.
