PIA flights to UK restored due to govt’s efforts: Attaullah

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights to Europe and the United Kingdom have been restored due to the efforts of the present government.

Talking to journalists outside Islamabad High Court on Friday, he thanked God that these flights were restored in the era of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz).

Regarding the case of Shalimar Recording and Broadcasting Company, the Information Minister said he has presented his position in the court on the issue and requested the Islamabad High Court to restore Shalimar Recording and Broadcasting Company as more than 300 employees are serving in it.

He said the process of dissolving Shalimar Recording and Broadcasting Company was initiated much before he assumed office as Minister for Information and Broadcasting.

Attaullah Tarar said the court has also issued orders to submit a business plan for the company and directed the liquidator to pay the salaries of the employees.
