Senator Rubina Khalid expresses grief over losses caused by torrential rains in northern Pakistan

Islamabad: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid has expressed deep sorrow over the damages and loss of lives caused by recent heavy rains and cloudbursts in northern Pakistan, including Babusar Top, Muzaffarabad, and other affected areas.

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of precious lives in Babusar Top, Muzaffarabad, and surrounding regions,” said Senator Rubina Khalid, conveying heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

Praising the patience and resilience of the people during this natural calamity, she said, “I salute the courage and strength shown by the public in these testing times.”

She stressed the importance of timely public awareness to prevent and reduce the impact of floods, calling it a critical need of the hour.

Senator Rubina Khalid also urged for collective efforts to support relief operations for the affected families. “We must all play our part in helping those impacted by this disaster,” she said.

She offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured, safe return of the missing, and eternal peace for those who lost their lives. “May the grieving families be granted patience and strength to endure this tragedy,” she added.
